Cypress Essential Oil

We use Mountain Rose Herbs Cypress Essential Oil Botanical Name: Cupressus sempervirens

Origin is Spain

Extraction Method: steam distilled from the needles and twigs of Cupressus sempervirens.

It has a fresh and pungent evergreen aroma, with balsamic undertones and is used for focus and healthy breathing. Cypress has been used for thousands of years as a cleansing incense for several Nepalese and Tibetan cultures. Cypress trees were planted outside of temples and burial grounds by the Greeks and Romans. Cypress essential oil blends well with cedarwood, lemon, pine, benzoin, and chamomile oils.

 Never use essential oils undiluted, in eyes or mucus membranes. Do not take internally unless working with a qualified and expert practitioner. Keep away from children.

Before using topically, perform a small patch test on your inner forearm or back by applying a small quantity of diluted essential oil and apply a bandage. Wash the area if you experience any irritation. If no irritation occurs after 48 hours it is safe to use on your skin.

This information allows us to make inferences about the essential oil's purity, quality, safety, and potential uses.
